New Years Eve Make Up: Metallic Eyes & Nude Lips

New Years Eve is the perfect excuse to wear a gorgeous sparkly eye, a bold lip or a golden skin glow! Whether you're going out for the evening or staying in with friends, NYE is always an occasion to dress up and look your best. For my makeup this year I'm going to be wearing a base with longevity, a shimmery eye and a nude gloss.

To create my long lasting base I will mix together Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in 52 and Giorgio Armarni Luminous Silk in 4, buffed in with my Real Techniques Expert face Brush to give me a flawless, dewy finish that will last throughout the evening. For concealer, my trusty Rimmel Wake me Up in Light, followed by Maybelline Age Rewind in Light to illuminate under my eye, down the bridge of my nose and my cupids bow. To contour my face I'll use Gosh Rose Whisper in the hollows of my cheek and down the sides of my nose with the mini Benefit blush brush. To bronze my cheeks I'm going to use a favourite of mine,  NARS Laguna and apply it with the Real Technique Blush Brush

For highlight, Benefit High Beam on the tops of my cheek bones and under my brow bones to give me a natural glow. I wanted a natural blusher for this look and to get this I've chosen the third shade on the top row from my Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar palette.

Now for the most important part of the look... eyes. To achieve a golden, metallic, sparkly eye I'm using my Bobbi Brown Warm Glow palette, starting with the neutral shade Flesh all over the lid, I will then build up my shimmers using the shades Gold, Golden Bronze, Golden Pink. For liner, I didn't want anything too dramatic so instead of using a black pencil I've chosen Stila Smudge stick in black amethyst which is like a dark purple. To finish my eye makeup I wanted a mascara with multiple benefits so again, will be using my Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lash to give me volume, curl, separation, length and drama.

When I do my makeup for a special occasion or a party, I prefer to use a brow kit to add more definition to my brows. In the past I relied on Benefit Brow Zings but I have newly discovered Sleek Brow Kit which I think is a great drug store alternative!

To create the perfectly lined, plump and juicy lip, I'm going to use the The Body Shop Lip liner in Beech 02. I will apply the liner all over my lip to ensure the colour lasts all evening and on top of that for extra definition I'm using the Bourjois Effect 3D Lip Gloss in Beige Elastic create a sophisticated, glossy finish.

What will be your NYE makeup picks this year?
